After completing all the courses at the institute where I studied my whole life, and while already attending university, I was offered the opportunity to try out as an English teacher for beginner to intermediate students. Due to my familiarity with the institute's methodology, the trial went well, and this became my part-time job for three years while I continued my studies.
After completing my university courses, with only final exams remaining, I participated in an au pair program in Scarsdale, NY. The program involved caring for children while living with a host family, allowing for a rich cultural exchange. In my case, the children were older, so my main responsibilities were driving them and cooking meals. This was an incredibly enriching experience, which came at the perfect time, as I obtained my degree while there and returned ready to quickly enter the job market.
My most successful failure: I've always wanted to start my own business, so while working at Terragene, I decided to create my own vodka brand. I contacted several artisanal vodka producers and found a factory in Pergamino, Buenos Aires, willing to develop a recipe to my taste. I visited the factory, and after conducting several tests, we developed a custom recipe. We produced several batches before deciding on the best option. After finalizing the recipe, I sourced bottle suppliers and even taught myself Illustrator to design the logo and bottle. Everything aligned perfectly, and I placed an order for my first 100 bottles to make initial sales and gather feedback. However, when the project was ready, the country faced a severe economic crisis, with 25% inflation in just one month, making it impossible to set and maintain prices. Although the project was cut short, I still have most of the bottles and value the experience for all the skills and knowledge I gained through the process.
